We regularly attend the annual Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA) Conference to learn new industry standards, technology, and management skills. We believe that staying up to date with the advances within the snow industry and constantly learning new team management skills, is a key factor that sets Valley Enterprises apart.

After attending in previous years, we implemented a professional snow removal software, LMN to document our service calls and help defend against any claims by being able to prove what time, where, and how long service was performed for.

This tracking app allows us to provide our clients with reports, weather conditions, photos and accurate information relevant to the site. All on site employees will document critical information, issues or challenges that arise and the site supervisor will be able to review and provide solutions in a timely manner.

Valley operates primarily out of South Langley with a large yard that allows for large salt storage and in house maintenance of vehicles and equipment. This allows for us to mitigate the use of our Business Continuity Plan

Being able to access materials and have a quick turnaround on equipment maintenance during the season allows for minimal service disruptions to our customers.

As we acquire different sites over the season, our satellite salt storage locations can change depending on where we prioritize high use areas.

Health and Safety

We made it a goal for the 2022 season to have all regular staff, including management and foremen, certified with their Occupational First Aid.

Our safe operating plan requires all our equipment to go through a pre-trip inspection to guarantee proper mechanical function while on site.

Providing safe working conditions is our priority. The majority of the time our crews work at night and in winter conditions. We empower our staff the "right to refuse" work. Taking into consideration the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved, together we always find a solution.

All of our vehicles have a significant amount of reflective snowflakes to ensure we are always visible. As our fleet grows, we equip all trucks with beacon lights and rear spot lights for safe working areas.

Valley Enterprises acknowledges that the environmental impact of our profession does exist due to transportation and materials used to complete our jobs.

Over the last two years, we have been converting all our vehicles to 2012 and newer for their cleaner operations and efficient fuel mileage.

Rock salt can build up and change organic matter if used too heavily; we ensure staff are thoroughly instructed to avoid green spaces and reduce the use near drainage areas and doorways for less tracking.

We use Mountain Organic Ice Melter around waterways and customer specific locations as it is completely organic and environmentally safe for groundwater.
